Good news: Government announces it will introduce new law to stop climate chaos

Stop Climate Chaos welcomes news that the Government is going to introduce a new Climate Change Bill.

Lucy Pearce, Campaign Manager said ‘We welcome this very real step forward by the Government. We will be looking closely at the final text to ensure that it has real teeth, and call upon the Government to act urgently by introducing the Bill in the forthcoming Queen’s Speech’. Thousands of their coalition’s supporters will reinforce this message when they converge on Trafalgar Square on Saturday 4th November.’

Stop Climate Chaos is calling for a climate change bill to make it a legal requirement that UK greenhouse gas emissions fall by at least 3% year-on-year.
